How can we run a car on vegetable oil? Since the hydrocarbon chains for diesel fuel and for vegetable oil are simmilar a diesel engine should run on clean veggie oil.

Students of North-Grand HS have converted a car to run on waste vegetable oil (WVO) instead of petrolium based diesel fuel to reduce overall pollution and net carbon emissions. The project has enhanced our knowledge about biofuels and other alternative energy sources and has built real-world job skills. Contact: Phillip Cantor at mr.cantor@gmail.com

I think it is fantastic that our next generation of thinkers is working on technology for what may one day be the next generation of transportation. We need more people who understand that alternative fuels are a viable alternative. Keep up the good work!
yeah keep it up & your faith that you will complete it
I had the pleasure of a complete tour of your organic fuel vehicle from Mr. Cantor himself. The car is fantastic! I've read about them but I've never seen one close up. Mr. Cantor was very enthusiastic about the project and proud of his student's accomplishment. The art was great and helped to convey the message that something interesting was going on under the hood!! Three cheers for the team!!
